Adding 950,000 merchants in Southeast Asia
We’re helping to spur innovative payment solutions for digital-first consumers and unbanked and underserved population through our partnership with and investment in Gojek, a mobile on-demand service and payments platform.¹
Working with the British Red Cross on pandemic relief
In partnership with Bankable and Paysafe, Visa launched a digital aid solution for the British Red Cross to support the disbursement of COVID-19 relief funds to aid the UK’s most vulnerable groups such as the elderly and refugees.
Enabling more than 100 companies to offer prepaid cards
We’ve partnered with Conductor, a technology-processing platform in Brazil to enable them to offer prepaid cards with digital accounts and increase acceptance of digital payments among small and medium businesses.

Policy Research ePayments add billions to global GDP
The Visa Economic Empowerment Institute (VEEI) is a resource and discussion forum for policymakers to transform the digitisation of the economy into a force for empowerment.²
REACHING THOSE IN NEED €17 million disbursed on prepaid cards
Visa prepaid cards were issued to Andalusian families significantly affected by the economic hardship from COVID-19 so they could purchase food and critical supplies.³
DIGITAL INCLUSION Enabling digital payments for urban mobility
Visa has been involved in 700+ urban mobility projects and helped launch over 470 contactless PAYG transit projects worldwide, including Edinburgh, Singapore and New York.4
Visa Foundation is helping communities recover from the pandemic
$15 million to support global response to COVID-19
Visa Foundation has provided $15M in emergency relief to support organisations on the frontlines responding to the global COVID-19 pandemic, including nearly $4 million to the Red Cross and $4.5 million to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
Since 1991, we’ve been offering financial education programmes across the globe
Launched in more than 40 countries
Our award-winning programme, Practical Money Skills, has helped millions to better manage their money and improve their quality of life. We also launched Practical Business Skills to empower small business owners to manage, build and grow their businesses.⁵
30,000 students in China
In China, through events like Visa’s Financial Literacy Summit and Carnival we reached approximately 30,000 students directly and millions more through media outreach.⁶
81 cities in Turkey
Our “I Can Manage My Money” financial education programme in Turkey delivered training to more than 1.6 million people in 81 cities since the programme launched in 2009. A further 300,000 people actively engaged with the programme via social media.⁶
300,000 women in Indonesia
Our Instagram-based financial education programme in Indonesia, #IbuBerbagiBijak, reached more than 300,000 women on social media. The programme educates and empowers women to share their knowledge on better financial management with a focus on micro and small-business owners.⁶
