## Control Moving Content (INT-007)

### Let users pause, stop, or hide moving content

When moving content such as auto updating content or a slideshow carousel are used there must be an option clearly presented to users to stop, pause, or hide the content.

### Requirements

#### Pause, Stop, or Hide Moving Content (INT-WEB-007-01)

A mechanism MUST be provided to pause, stop, or hide any content that meets the following criteria:

- starts automatically
- is presented in parallel with other content

AND
- moves, blinks or scrolls for >5 seconds
- All auto-updating content regardless of duration

#### Pause or adjust volume for auto playing audio (INT-WEB-007-02)

For any audio which 1) plays automatically and 2) lasts for >3 seconds, ONE of the following MUST be true:

- A mechanism to pause the content is presented to the user
- A mechanism for adjusting the volume of the content is presented to the user AND it does not rely on the system audio levels to adjust the volume.

### Test Procedures

#### Visual Inspection (INT-WEB-007-01-T)

Confirm that for any content that meets the following criteria, a mechanism is provided to pause, play, or hide the applicable content:

- starts automatically
- is presented in parallel with other content

AND
- moves, blinks or scrolls for >5 seconds
- All auto-updating content regardless of duration

#### Auditory Inspection (INT-WEB-007-02-T)

Confirm that for any audio which 1) plays automatically and 2) lasts for >3 seconds, ONE of the following is true:
